He has been consistent in disseminating and shaping opinion on the discourse on the developement of progressive ICT policies.
Econet has been introducing innovative communication products and services since it commenced operations. In 2010 Econet launched two ground breaking services - mobile broadband and EcoLife insuranceEconet has made it possible for the cost of mobile telephony and services to reduce in real terms since mobile became available. The company has used a strategy of increasing availability of sim cards and availing low cost handsets to the bottom end of the market. This has made it possible for the great majority of Zimbabweans to be able to own mobile handsets and access the benefits of mobile telephony.

Venturing into ICTs since MS Dos and starting off as a programmer Rudo Mudavanhu has risen through the ranks from programming, to hardware, networking and telecommunications.
Radio Journalist Mqhele Tshuma who has a keen interest in Information, Communication Technology and has done radio programmes such as ITU, World Telecoms Day, ICT Africa, and African ICT Week. Tshuma has made headway in the coverage of ICT issues an indication that country becoming a reality.
THE SOLAR POWERED BASE STATIONS IN RURAL AREAS
Net*One has set up solar powered base stations in the country’s remote areas a positive move towards connecting people through technology. This gave access to an array of Value Added Services that are specific to rural areas incorporating other networks to Net*One subscribers. Net*One has managed to bridged the communication divide in all the country’ ten provinces of Zimbabwe were power outages are frequent – communication made easy by Net*One.
